My name is Anna Franziska Schlepckow, I am a 25-year-old modelhorse artist from Germany.
I discovered the hobby in 2017 when I came up with the idea of upcycling some old toy horses for my little sister. That “upcycling” situation escalated quickly once I found out there are even more modelhorses in different sizes and shapes.
I opened my Instagram Account minnies_repaints in March 2017 and from that point my painting skills increased continuously. For my customs I always try to keep the balance between harmony and uniqueness of the horse colors. Today I am known for soft dappled horse colors such as dappled greys. My horses have awarded several champions on German Liveshows already. Most of the time I focus on painting horses only, I can do minor sculpting changes such as hair, gender etc.
I prefer working on Breyer Stablemates (and sculpting customs out of these) and Mini Artist Resins. The all-time favorites in my collection are extremely resculpted Stablemates by good friends and painted by myself. I love customs even more than artist resins, because they are more unique to me.
