Larissa Sorg
My name is Larissa Sorg and I’m a 23-year-old university student and modelhorse artist from Germany. I started customizing modelhorses in autumn 2016 with repainting old toy horses from my collection. In December 2016 I opened my Instagram account Lamati_repaints and since then my painting skills increased continuously. Through practice and patience I learned how to paint complex colors and today I’m well known for detailed Appaloosa patterns and hair by hair painted Roans. I also do customizations and sculpting, although I’m still practicing in this field of the hobby. I have released my first resin ‘Clayton’ in 2018 and also two Medaillons in resin in the same year. I hope I can add more sculptures in the future. I love to share my progress with the great modelhorse community on Instagram.
My favorite sizes to work in are Stablemates and Mini Artist Resins up to Little-Bit, but I also paint Medaillons and Micro Minis. My work is Liveshow-proven here in Germany and my horses are awarded with several Champions. I love to see my horses on Liveshows here in Europe and Breyerfest is a great chance to get some of my work displayed in the U.S. and other parts of the world.
