It's not always a horse's good breeding and beauty that tell their measure. While OT Sara Moniet RSI has both in spades, it is her incredible accomplishments that make her stand out from the crowd.

Arabian horse breeder and trainer Crockett Dumas established his Outlaw Trail Ranch in Escalante, Utah, with the purpose of creating a top-level endurance horse breeding program. Using carefully selected champion breeding stock and Richard Pritzlaff's (RSI) bloodlines, Dumas' horses show the results of his hard work, having earned 51 overall American Endurance Ride Conference (AERC) National and Regional Championships.

OT Sara Moniet RSI is one of the talented horses bred, trained and competed by Dumas. In 2011, the Arabian Horse Association (AHA) named the then 7-year-old mare the AHA Distance Horse of the Year. In that year alone, she covered 1,675 competition miles, completed all 31 rides she entered, and had 10 overall wins and 9 Best Conditions. She finished in the top 10 in 30 of those rides - all while carrying over 225 pounds of tack and rider! Her wins included the 100 Mile AERC National Heavy Weight Championship, the 250 Mile Death Valley, the 200 Mile Eastern Mojave, the 165 Mile Shamrock, the 155 Mile Cuyama Oaks and the 155 Mile Moab Canyons races. To cap off their phenomenal year, she was also named AERC's Distance Horse of the Year, the AHA's High Point 55-99 mile Endurance Horse, and was named the Institute for the Desert Arabian Horse's Drinkers of the Wind Challenge Champion.

There are many more miles ahead on Sara and Dumas' journey, and we don't think they'd have it any other way!
